Myopac Jr. is just that -- a smaller, lighter version of the standard Myopac system with less channels and a more economical price.
Like the standard system, Myopac Jr. employs fiber optic technology to transmit up to 8 channels of EMG, along with two multi-position footswitch signals, from a belt unit worn by the subject to a remote receiver unit. The belt unit weighs only 320 grams (about 11 ounces) and the thin, rugged fiber optic cable can be up to 60 meters (200 feet) long. The result is a system that provides exceptional subject mobility.
There’s nothing cheap about the way Myopac Jr. is built, either. Myopac Jr. shares the same precision engineering and quality craftsmanship as the standard version. Signals are maintained at high resolution in both the amplitude and temporal domains, making Myopac Jr. ideal for both surface and fine wire EMG recording. Specially designed lead wires, driven shields, multiple-pole active filters, superior CMRR, and other advanced engineering techniques, yield exceptionally stable, reliable signals without the need of expensive pre-amplified, active electrodes. Gains of 1000, 2000, 5000 and 10000 are pre-calibrated and individually selectable for each channel. For portability, both the belt unit and the receiver unit can be battery-powered for seven or more hours of continuous use without changing batteries. The receiver unit can also be line powered, preserving batteries for the times when you really need them.
If you need the ultimate in versatility, consider the standard Myopac system. But if your needs -- or budget -- are more restricted, Myopac Jr. is the system for you.
